Throughout the New Testament, God instructs the church concerning it's purpose on earth. Repeatedly, we see five things that the church of Jesus Christ is to do: Worship, Make Disciples, Fellowship, Serve and Evangelize. Cornerstone is committed to fulfilling Christ's purpose for His church by being a balanced, purpose-driven church.

Our Purpose Statement

The Purpose of Cornerstone Community Baptist Church is to bring people to Jesus and Membership in his family, develop them to Christlike Maturity, and equip them for their Ministry in the church and life Mission in the world, in order to Magnify God's name.

The five purposes of the church can be seen in the two great statements of Scripture, the Great Commandment (Mt. 22:37-39) and the Great Commission (Mt. 28:18-20).

To love God is to express worship.

To love your neighbor is to serve.

To go and make disciples is to evangelize.

To baptize is to symbolize our fellowship in Christ's Body.

To teach to obey is discipleship.
