If you were to go to a new town, you would begin to develop an understanding of the characteristics of the community by the type of people you met, the style of architecture you noticed, as well as the kind of shops and activities available. Our community at Cornerstone also has some characteristics that define who we are. We call them our values. They tell you how we do what we do.

The Cornerstone Community . . .

COMPLETE DEPENDENCE ON GOD (Mt. 7:7,8; Dan. 6:23; Heb. 11:32-34): We believe that God desires us to pray and fully depend upon Him.

ORIGINALITY (Gen. 1:1): We believe that our God is a creative God who desires us to reflect his creativity.

MAINTAIN DIGNIFIED RELEVANCE (I Cor. 9:19-23): We believe that we must relate to our community through a relevant and practical service that still maintains the dignity and integrity of Christ's church.

MULTIPLE SMALL GROUPS (Acts 2:46,47; Acts 5:42; Rom. 16:5): We believe that the most effective setting for people to mature and experience biblical "one another" fellowship is through small group relationships.

ULTIMATE EFFORT (Col. 3:23): We believe that we have the responsibility to serve the Lord with the full capacity of our abilities.

NAVIGATE LIFE BY THE BIBLE (2 Tim. 3:16): We believe that the Bible is God's Inspired Word and it is to serve as the foundation for all that we do and teach. We also believe that it is relevant and should be taught practically.

INCLUSIVE ATTITUDE OF LOVE AND ACCEPTANCE (Mt. 9:9-13; Rom. 15:7): We believe that God cares for all people and as the church we are committed to authentically loving as Christ loved.

TEAM MINISTRY (Eph. 4:11-13): We believe that it is the responsibility of every member to be a minister in the work of the church.

YOUR FAMILY IS OUR FAMILY (Eph. 2:19; 1 Pet. 2:5; Eph. 5:22-6:4): We believe that the church is a family of families and we are committed to developing families by building stronger marriages and helping parents raise godly children.
