The Roman’s Road

1. “For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

COMMENT: Every man, woman, and child on earth has sinned and is not deserving of the glory of God. All of us are sinners and we need to be forgiven of our sins. Until we are forgiven of our sins, we fall short of the glory of God.

2. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

COMMENT: Disobedience to God in refusing to turn away from sin results in Death (Separation from God). The gift of God is eternal life. It is His gift to us for refusing to be a slave to sin any longer.

3. “But God demonstrates his own love toward us, in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

COMMENT: God sent His Son, Jesus, to die in our place because of the great love He has for us.
Jesus died to pay the sin debt for each of us.

4. “That if you confess with your mouth, “’Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:9-10, 13)

COMMENT: You must accept the fact that you are a sinner and that you cannot save yourself. You must confess and believe! If it is your desire to know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you can pray to Him and ask Him to be your Savior. You can say a prayer similar to the following

(the words are not as important as what you truly believe in your heart):

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I have been separated from you by my sin. I thank you for dying for me on the cross. I believe that you died to pay the penalty for my sin, and that you rose again. I ask you to forgive me of my sins and take control of my life and make me the kind of person that you want me to be. I thank you for saving me and making me your child. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

If you BELIEVE without holding any of yourself back,
you have received the gift of ETERNAL LIFE!

Now that you have made this step, it’s your responsibility to build upon your relationship with God!

How do you do this? Simply:

1. Get a Bible and READ IT.

2. Talk to God daily in prayer! What kind of relationship could you have with someone if you didn’t talk to them!

3. Locate a BIBLE teaching church like Cornerstone Church, and associate yourself with it!

Don’t forget that salvation is a GIFT and a WAY OF LIFE.
God chose to give us this plan because He loved us so much.
God does not wish that any should perish!
